Small furry companions are not the only ones that need our help. Suzie’s Pride, Big Cat Sanctuary works to help big cats such as lions that are unwanted, or that have been abused, or neglected. Chaffin Luhana LLP is pleased to donate to this sanctuary and rescue on behalf of one of their administrative assistants, Misty Kirbaugh.
Suzie’s Pride, Big Cat Sanctuary is a “no-kill, no-breed” facility that takes cats from “private owners, commercial entities, zoos and other sanctuaries.”
The Chaffin Luhana Foundation is making a $250 donation to this facility. Misty previously worked for the sanctuary, and this is the second year that Misty chose to send her donation to Suzie’s Pride, Big Cat Sanctuary. Misty said the owners and staff are genuine animal lovers that rescue exotic animals that suffered abuse and neglect from prior owners. “The big cats are able to live day to day without having to fight for food or be used for photos and shows. They are able to be in the sun on their backs and enjoy their lives safe in captivity without the worry of poachers or captive gaing resorts. The money being donated will help with projects, repairs, and to help start new fundraisers to educate people about conservation,” she said.
