There is nothing quite like a child’s excitement on Christmas morning. Each year, the Minerva Cops for Kids make the holidays brighter for local needing families in Minerva, Ohio. Chaffin Luhana LLP is proud to donate $250 to the Minerva Cops for Kids program on behalf of one of our intake managers, Staci Aria.
The Minerva program helps lower-income families in the Minerva, Ohio area who are facing emergency financial situations that contribute to a lack of food, heat and clothing. It also helps to purchase toys and clothing for children in the Minerva School District during the holidays. Several organizations and individuals donate to this fund to help make these wonderful donations happen.
After the police department collects the donations, the Chief of Police and Mayor purchase the toys and clothes for children in need.
Staci previously worked for the Minerva Police Department for 8 years. “I have helped organize and distribute these various items to families and I will never forget the look of relief and gratitude on their faces. I know there are many national charities that offer similar help, but this is very dear to me. It’s the community that I grew up in,” she said.
You can help make the holidays brighter for some local families too. Just send a donation to the address below and make checks payable to “Minerva Cops for Kids” or look for a similar program in your community.
